Theme: Video on Italian food as Unesco patrimony. Traditional music. Questions and answers (prepared and read by students) on typical Salento food and favourite food. PPT of photos (colours, smells and tastes) with typical agricultural produce, only in a couple of cases with the dialectal name.
Second video: ppt with a recipe (music is Kletzmer), no voice, reading.
Difficulty: Elementary (A)
Function: The target is very diverse (people engaged in tourism, teachers, migrants). As it is,the video is meant to be used in different language classes beyond English (Italian and Spanish too).
SUGGESTED EXERCISES RELATED TO VIDEOS
Tasks/Skills: Suggested tasks: role plays mainly based on the situation “visiting tourist to be informed about local products and dishes” + a variety of structured/guided activities for the acquisition of vocabulary both in Italian and in English and for its reuse in real situations and according to the target’s need.
